Juvenile Policy

  • All juveniles are required to be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian for arraignments.
  • Only the defendant, or an attorney representing the defendant can enter a plea to any charges.
  • The judge may allow the parent or guardian to speak on behalf of the defendant.
  • Municipal Courts have no jurisdiction over juveniles for any violations that will result in incarceration.
