Human Resources is comprised of several departments all with differing responsibilities including legal, personnel, safety and technological resources for the City of Artesia.
The City Prosecutor is responsible for prosecution of cases brought by the Artesia Police Department in both Municipal and Magistrate Courts.
Personnel is responsible for all policies, issues and actions related to the employees of the City of Artesia including compliance with all State and Federal employment laws, employee benefits (health, life, dental, etc.), recruitment and retention.
Safety and Risk Management is responsible for employee safety, workers compensation, property damage and risk management.
Technology supports, updates and maintains the city's data, communications and Geographic Information and mapping systems.
